Sizing Instructions
1. Count the number of cameras that view your store’s retail products.
Retailers simply count all their existing cameras that view products on shelves and any other merchandisers. Include only cameras that view products available for sale. Exclude any cameras that view parking lots, back hallways, cashiers, entrances and exits.
2. There are 2 different types of cameras: regular and fisheye
Regular cameras are counted as explained in item #1 above.
With fisheye cameras, 1 fisheye camera is equal to 4 regular cameras. For example, if there are 5 fisheye cameras in a store, that would be equal to 20 regular cameras. The customer would need a Veesion system with the capacity to handle 20 cameras.
Fisheye cameras and regular cameras can both operate on the same system.
3. Optimal camera positions:
Optimal height are cameras mounted 6 feet to 11.5 feet high
Optimal viewing distance is 5 feet to 40 feet
